Positions in development, construction and operation

Bright & Green develops, builds and operates data centres and battery storage in Germany and the Netherlands. The positions advertised here carry that chain along its full length, from site development through to day-to-day operation.

Fields of work

The three phases of a project

The advertised positions are distributed across three phases of the same project. Bright & Green staffs all three from within its own organisation.

Develop

Search area, securing the land, the grid connection request, land-use planning, permitting and the energy concept. The result is a shovel-ready site with a connection agreement and building rights.

Build

Building shell, medium- and high-voltage systems, cooling, battery storage and the link to the substation. Design follows the HOAI work stages, execution the German VOB construction contract rules.

Operate

Facility management, maintenance, energy procurement, waste heat delivery and the reporting obligations under the German Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG) throughout the lifetime of the asset.

Reasons

The difference from a comparable position

Bright & Green does not hand its projects over on completion. That decision determines how they are developed, built and answered for.

Responsibility across the entire life cycle

The same company applies for the grid connection, builds the asset and later runs it. Whoever specifies here will meet that decision again in the maintenance plan.

Energy before building

The limiting factor of a data centre is electrical capacity. Bright & Green comes from more than ten years in energy projects, with over 1,500 solar plants built, and therefore develops outward from the grid connection.

Two markets, one organisation

Germany and the Netherlands are served from a single company. Permitting law, grid connection procedures and market roles differ, and both sides belong to the work.

Short decision paths

The company is led by a managing partner. Technical decisions are taken where the matter is negotiated, without a layer in between.

Application process

Four steps to a decision

Bright & Green keeps the procedure short and binding. You will receive a response at every step, including when it is a rejection.

  1. Application

Your CV, references and the position you are applying for, sent to the address below. A covering letter is welcome but not a condition.

  2. Review

The documents are reviewed by the responsible department together with the managing partner. You will be told whether the procedure continues.

  3. Technical interview

A conversation about your previous projects, the open questions of the position and the technical requirements of the department.

  4. Decision

The interview is followed by a decision with reasons. Where an offer is made, you will agree the start date and the contract terms directly with the managing partner.

Application

Contact for applications

Applications go directly to the managing partner. Please state the position and your earliest possible start date.

Your documents will be treated confidentially and used solely for the purpose of this application.

Speculative application

Applying without a matching advertisement

Bright & Green also reviews speculative applications from specialists in grid connection, high-voltage engineering, data centre construction and operations when no matching position is advertised. Please state which phase of a project you wish to take responsibility for.
