Bright & Green develops, builds and operates data centres and battery storage in Germany and the Netherlands. The expertise behind it comes from almost twenty years of project development in solar.
The origin of the company
The company developed in three phases, each of which laid the foundation for the one that followed.
- Beginning
Solar
Bright & Green began as a project developer and EPC contractor for solar plants, on rooftops and open land and with projects from 0.5 to 100 MWp. More than 1,500 plants built and 16 references in the Netherlands date from that period.
- Expansion
Battery storage
The second business area emerged from the solar projects: battery storage that smooths feed-in, absorbs peak load and provides grid services. Development, construction and operation sit within the same accountability as in the solar business.
- Today
Data centres
Grid connection, storage and generation are precisely what data centres in Germany require most. Bright & Green develops, builds and operates data centres today, and publishes individual projects once they have been announced.

Development, construction and operation in-house
Bright & Green develops, builds and operates in-house, from the initial site concept through land, grid connection and permitting to day-to-day operation.
Data-centre and storage projects are in development. For reasons of confidentiality they are published only once they have been announced.

A plot becomes a site only once the grid connection is secured. Development begins there, not at the building.
