Do you take over operation for third parties?

Yes, for sites that Bright & Green has developed and constructed. The company operates data centres and battery storage itself; operating a third-party facility is assessed case by case.

How do you secure the grid connection?

Through the connection request to the responsible grid operator, the grid compatibility assessment and a binding connection commitment that becomes binding with the grid connection agreement. Bright & Green does not describe a site without a connection commitment as shovel-ready.

What scale do you develop?

From a single building to a campus built in phases. The scale is determined by the available connection capacity. Bright & Green discusses specific capacity figures under a non-disclosure agreement.

Can we see projects in development?

Under a non-disclosure agreement and in a personal meeting. Bright & Green publishes data-centre and storage projects only once they have been announced. What can be presented are the completed solar projects and the company's approach to development.

Do you also work in the Netherlands?

Yes. Bright & Green operates in Germany and the Netherlands; the legal entity, B&G Holding B.V., is based in Arnhem. The company knows both markets from more than ten years in the project business.

The scope of our offer

The scarcest component of a data centre in Germany is the grid connection, and that is where the work of Bright & Green begins. The company secures sites with a binding connection commitment, sizes battery storage, generation and waste-heat use to the connection capacity, and takes the project through land-use planning and permitting. It then constructs the data centre and, where required, assumes operation.

Bright & Green works in Germany and the Netherlands; the legal entity is B&G Holding B.V. in Arnhem. For reasons of confidentiality, the company publishes data-centre and storage projects under development only once they have been announced, and presents them to you under a non-disclosure agreement where they correspond to your requirements.

Energy concept
Battery storage at the connection, renewable supply through power purchase agreements and our own generation, and waste-heat delivery are all sized to the requirements of the German Energy Efficiency Act.
Permits
Bright & Green conducts the development plan, the building permit, the permit for the backup power supply and the necessary expert studies in close coordination with the municipality.
Construction
Planning, tendering, construction management and acceptance cover the building shell, electrical systems, cooling, battery storage and the substation.
Operation
Operation covers facility management, energy procurement, waste-heat delivery and reporting obligations. It rests with the same company that developed the site.
Battery storage
Stand-alone or at the data centre, Bright & Green develops, builds and operates storage that covers peak load, bridges outages and makes better use of the connection capacity.

Bright & Green operates what it builds. That is the difference from a developer who exits the project at the point of sale: a site the company secures has to hold up in operation as well, with the grid connection, the battery storage, the waste-heat use and the obligations under the German Energy Efficiency Act.

The energy expertise derives from more than ten years in the project business, with over 1,500 solar plants built in sizes from 0.5 to 100 MWp, together with the development, construction and operation of battery storage.
