How the calculator works

What the calculator computes

The calculator estimates the economics of your photovoltaic system using industry-standard reference values.

Based on system capacity, the expected annual yield is determined – modelled with a specific yield of around 950 kWh per kWp as an assumption. Self-consumption share and electricity price together produce the annual savings compared with grid supply.

From investment cost and annual savings, the calculator derives a rough payback period. It also reports the avoided emissions via a CO₂ factor, making the environmental contribution visible.

Actual yields depend on location, orientation, shading, and consumption profile and may differ from the model values.
