In brief
Bright & Green offers investments in battery storage that the company develops, builds and operates itself. In this position you are accountable for that business: structuring the offerings, testing the projects against the investment criteria, and supporting the investors who invest through the German investment deduction under section 7g of the Income Tax Act (EStG). You work directly with project development and with the managing partner.
Responsibilities
- You structure the investment offerings for battery storage, including the requirements of the German investment deduction under section 7g EStG.
- You test the projects against the investment criteria: grid connection, permitting status, revenue model and operating concept.
- You build and maintain the financial models, including sensitivities for power price, cycles, degradation and availability.
- You run the due diligence processes with tax advisers, lawyers and technical experts.
- You support investors from the first enquiry through subscription to ongoing reporting.
- You track the tax and regulatory environment in Germany and in the Netherlands and adapt the structures accordingly.
Requirements
- A degree in economics, finance or an equivalent qualification.
- Several years in investment management, project finance or transaction advisory, preferably in energy infrastructure.
- Confident modelling of long-lived assets and a solid grasp of capital structures.
- Knowledge of the German tax framework for investments in movable assets, in particular section 7g EStG.
- Experience in supporting private or institutional investors, including the associated documentation.
- German and English at negotiation level, Dutch an advantage.
